Several shootings in Selma over the weekend left a man dead and others injured, prompting an investigation by police. 

According to WAKA, the shootings were unrelated and took place from Saturday night to Sunday morning. 

The first occurred on Saturday night when Dennis Lee Gamble, 20, was walking his dog when a unknown suspect opened fire and killed both. Gamble is the fifth homicide for Selma this year. 

On early Sunday morning shots were fired at a house at the 2100 block of Lauderdale Street, injuring Cedric Fuller, 22. 

At around 1 a.m. that morning Jacob Markell Ford, 19, was injured in the third shooting that took place at the 100 block of Washington Street.
