Do not cross II

A man is facing a second-degree arson charge after firefighters put out a blaze at an unoccupied house in Montgomery on Thursday night.

According to WSFA, a one-story house at the 2500 block of Poplar Street was reported on fire at around midnight.

Firefighters from Montgomery Fire and Rescue reportedly responded to the scene and brought it under control. A search of the building revealed that no one was inside as it burned.

However, the suspect, Christopher Johnson, was found at the scene and interviewed before he was arrested. A motive has not been released.

Johnson was placed at the Montgomery County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
