A man led Montgomery police officers and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) troopers on a chase after an attempted traffic stop on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a statement from ALEA, troopers tried to stop a gray Dodge Charger for a tag violation on Narrow Lane Road near Audubon Road within the city limits as part of a joint operation with the Montgomery Police Department targeting crimes related to vehicles.

The driver of the Charger reportedly refused to stop and a chase began, which was said to have continued to East Third Street. There the Charger hit a Montgomery Police vehicle being driven by Officer D’Anthony Green.

The driver, now identified as 35-year-old Richard Moore of Montgomery, was arrested then. Green was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

ALEA's statement said that there were several passengers in the Charger. These were Breanna Renea Campbell, 20, Tamira Latrice Tolliver, 19, and a two-year-old child. All were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Moore has been charged with felony attempting to elude, first degree assault and reckless endangerment. The investigation is ongoing and more charges may follow.
