A shooting at an east Selma club in the early morning hours of Saturday March 4 has left one man dead and another fighting for his life.
Selma Police Department said in a press release that March 4 at approximately 2 a.m. Selma Police Department received a call of shots fired in the area of Good Vibes, a club located at 2005 Highway 14 E.
Officers reported that when they arrived on the scene, they heard shots being fired inside the building. After entering the club, the officers discovered Tyronn Stallworth on the floor with a gunshot wound and club owner Trent Woods on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.Â
Stallworth was transported the Vaughan Regional Medical Center’s emergency department, where he died from his wound. Woods was transported to the Vaughan but was later airlifted to UAB Medical Center.
The Selma Police Department is asking if anyone has any information that you believe will help with the investigation, please contact 334-874-2190. No further details are being released at this time and the case remains under investigation.
This shooting came just days after a shooting in the area of Division Street and Burgundy Avenue. On March 2 at around 8:30 a.m., Selma Police Department received a call of shots being fired in that area. When officers arrived, they said they found a silver Chevrolet at the intersection with an unresponsive male subject, later identified as 20-year-old Quintarius Perkins, in the driver seat with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Paramedics were called to the scene, but the victim was later pronounced dead on scene by the Dallas County Coroner. No other details are available at this time.
This case is also still under investigation, and the Selma Police Department again is asking anyone with information that will bring the person(s) involved in the crime to justice to contact 334-874-2190.
