The Marengo County High Panthers couldn’t slow down Leroy High’s high-powered offense Friday night, falling 60–20 in a region matchup on the road.

Leroy jumped out to a 30–12 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back, using a mix of big plays and a strong ground game to stay in control. Marengo managed to put points on the board in the early going but struggled to keep pace as the game wore on.

The loss dropped Marengo to 6–5 overall, while Leroy strengthened its hold on the top spot in the region standings. The Panthers will look to regroup next week as they take on McIntosh at 7 p.m. Friday. Leroy plays Southern Choctaw.
