Two lieutenants of the Montgomery Fire & Rescue department have retire, each having served for years in the field. 

Lieutenant Reginald Crawford retires after 26 years. He began on May 20, 1999 and worked on fire suppression and code enforcement. 

"Throughout his tenure, Lt. Crawford has exemplified integrity, leadership, and dedication to the mission of protecting life and property," said MFR in an announcement. "His impact can be seen in the firefighters he has guided, the structures he has helped safeguard, and the community he has served with pride."

Lieutenant Kevin Levett served for more than 23 years, beginning on Oct. 25, 2002. He also worked fire suppression and code enforcement.

"Lt. Levett has been a steady, dependable presence within our department—known for his professionalism, his commitment to public safety, and his willingness to mentor and support those around him," said the announcement. "His contributions have strengthened our operations and helped ensure safer homes, safer businesses, and a safer Montgomery."
