Pine Hill restaurant Mike's Country Kitchen is set to reopen on Dec. 8 after being closed for repairs from a tornado that hit the community in April.

Mike's Country Kitchen announced on Facebook that it will hold a grand reopening on Dec. 8 with a "two week sneak peak" starting Nov. 24. More details would be released on Sunday, they said.

The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes hit Wilcox County on April 6 in Pine Hill and were both rated EF-1 with track lengths of 1.22 miles and 0.51 miles.

One caused damage to several homes and two businesses, including Mike's Country Kitchen.
