Park Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center held the Miss Park Place 2024 pageant on Sept. 26. 

 

The dining room at Park Place was decorated with beautiful flowers provided by The Flower Basket of Selma and Greg Bjelke. Bjelke also did all of the flower arrangements.  

 

Nine ladies dressed in beautiful gowns provided by KD Bridal and Formal Wear of Selma. They all came out for a group appearance as the pageant began. Then they were escorted out of the room and reentered one at a time as master of ceremonies Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum told the audience a little about them.  
 

The winners for the 2024 Miss Park Place are: 

2nd Runner Up, Abigale Stennett 

1st Runner Up, Rosie Griffin 

and the 2024 Miss Park Place Queen is Janice Smith. 

 

Judges were Yasmine Mixon, Beverly Tyus and Senia Powell.  
 

Granthum praised Park Place and Traditions Health Hospice who team up for the pageant each year. “This is great. I love doing this, Granthum said.  

 

Courtney Gallion of Traditions Health Hospice said this is the first year she has been involved with the pageant. We are doing this in all facilities this year in the areas we cover,” Gallion said. 

 

The hospice care team can provide care in the home or nursing home. Traditions Health Hospice covers Dallas, Hale, Perry, Wilcox and Lowndes counties.
