The Montgomery County District Attorney's office is sponsoring "School Day" at the Alabama National Fair where they are spotlighting bullying prevention as the event goes on.

"But it’s hard for our kids to learn when they do not feel safe," said DA Daryl Bailey on his Facebook page. "Far too many of our young people have fears about their personal safety in and outside of the classroom due to bullying."

The DA's office has a booth at the fair where they are promoting "Bullying Stops With Me" by providing resources to both kids and parents on how to deal with bullying situations.

"Since the start of the fair, hundreds of kids have affirmed their commitment to be make their school and community a bully-free zone," Bailey adds.

The Alabama National Fair is currently taking place in Montgomery and will continue until Oct. 15.
