MFR firefighter graduation 2025

Montgomery Fire & Rescue (MFR) graduated 17 new firefighters during a ceremony at City Hall on Thursday. 

The graduates completed 22 weeks of "grueling" EMT and fire suppression studies with hands-on training, said MFR on social media. 

Captain Keldrick Williams, Sr. was the guest speaker. 

The ceremony also reportedly marked more than 50 trainee classes and more than 500 new graduates under Fire Chief Miford Jordan, who recently retired. 

"These new firefighters are ready and equipped to contribute to our team and service to the community," said a post on MFR's social media.
