MFR at World Championship Combat Championships

The Montgomery Fire/Rescue Combat Challenge Team recently took part in the Firefighter Challenge World Championship Combat Series event in Nashville, TN.

More than 400 competitors gathered at the event where the finals were held on Friday and Saturday last week.

Sergeant Jacob Julian placed 24th, Firefighter Raymond Thompkins placed 52nd, Lieutenant DeMichael Seals placed 15th in the 40-44 age group, and Sergeant Trinten Camp achieved Lions Den with 1:36 in the World Individual Races.

Julian Thompkins placed 20th overall and Lieutenant Seals placed 3rd with his partner in the 40-44 age group during the World Tandem Relay.

"During the World Team Relay, the team was unsuccessful to place in the final round of the competition but in all this was a successful year and we look forward to representing the department in the new season," said a post on the department's Facebook page.
