First responders from Montgomery Fire & Rescue (MFR) recently stopped a spill of hazardous materials from a commercial vehicle on I-65.Â
An announcement from MFR said that Engine 2, HazMat 60, HazMat 62, and FD 11 responded to the scene where they were able to stop the spill and placed containment measures to keep it from spreading in the environment.Â
"Thanks to the teamwork and professionalism of all responding personnel, the incident was brought under control safely and efficiently, helping protect our community, our environment, and the traveling public," said the announcement.Â
