Montgomery hosting back to school events in August

Multiple back to school events will be held in Montgomery through August as the summer begins to wind down and schools will be starting soon. 

See below for a list of what will be hosted: 

Aug. 1 

Back to School Bash

9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Multiplex at Crampton Bowl 

There will be community resources, school supplies, entertainment, and activities for families. 

Aug. 2 

Levitt AMP Montgomery Music Series: Back to School Bash

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

King's Canvas at 1413 Oak Street

This event will feature a free outdoor concert. 

Aug. 8 

Back to School Pool Party 

4 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Gunter Park at 2390 Cong W WL Dickinson Drive 

Swimming, music and games will be part of the occasion. $3 per person for entry. 

Aug. 15

ASU Buzz Run 5K & Backpack Giveaway

7 a.m.

Alabama State University, ASU Stadium Gate E 

The final event will have a backpack giveaway and a race.
