A man from Montgomery has been sentenced to 11 years for meth distribution and being a felon in possession of a firearm, said an statement from U.S. Attorney Thomas Govan. 

According to the statement Robert Marshall Jr., 33,  was stopped in traffice by Montgomery police on Feb. 6, 2023. Approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a handgun was found after a search of his vehicle. 

As he had previously been convicted for felonies in Autauga County Marshall was prohibited from owning a firearm. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in February 2026.
