Montgomery Police have arrested an 8-year-old after he reportedly led police on a chase as the result of a carjacking on Tuesday.Â
According to WSFA, the boy allegedly carjacked a person at gunpoint on West Fairview Avenue during the morning.Â
Police were called to the scene and attempted to pull the vehicle over before a pursuit began. The vehicle crashed into another during the chase, though no injuries were reported.Â
A witness in the area said that he saw the driver pick up two adults during the incident.
The boy was eventually arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility. He has been charged with first-degree robbery, attempting to elude and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
