The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Law Enforcement Services Division (LESD) and the Montgomery Police Department SWAT team have arrested a woman for allegedly trafficking in drugs.

Shakeena Meadows of Montgomery has been identified as a suspect after her home was searched on Jan. 13. During the search a firearm along with a "significant" amount of drugs were reportedly found.

A statement from ADOC said that Meadows has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl and possession of marijuana in the first degree.

She was transported to the Montgomery City Jail without incident, said the statement.

The case is still being investigated and other charges may be pending.
