Move Alabama by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) is encouraging Alabamians to exercise more by giving them a chance to win prizes after completing challenges.Â
According to a press release from ACES, 29% of Alabamians are inactive and put themselves at risk for various illnesses, such as high blood pressure and diabetes.Â
Move Alabama aims to address this by providing residents with 25 challenges to complete by April 30 for a chance to be entered to win prizes. This health campaign is a collaboration between SNAP-ED and EFNEP at Auburn University.Â
Participant logs can be picked up at the Dallas County Extension Office on 429 Lauderdale Street in Selma or download them at the Move Alabama Facebook Page.Â
Participants are encourage to take pictures of their logo and send it to movealabama@auburn.edu for a chance to be entered for a prize drawing. These should be sent by May 3.
