A multiagency drug task force has arrested a Marengo County man on charges of methamphetamine trafficking.
The arrest of Devante Lewis, 32, of Sweet Water, was made on March 10 as part of ongoing investigation led by the 4th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, the 17th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, and the United States Postal Service.
During the operation, agents seized approximately 10 pounds of crystal methamphetamine.
Further arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
“Authorities extend their gratitude to all participating agencies for their dedicated efforts in combating drug trafficking and enhancing public safety by removing illegal substances from the streets,” the press release states.
