An injured shark was spotted swimming in a harbor in Ibiza, Spain.

Ediz Mehmet, a bosun, saw what appeared to be a blue shark circling Marina Botafoc at around 8 a.m. on Feb. 9.

He said it had a chunk out of its fin and appeared "disoriented."

“I work on a boat that is moored in Marina Botafoc and as I arrived there this morning at about 8 a.m. there was what looks like a blue shark about two to three meters long swimming around in circles in the harbor,” Mehmet, 46, from Cala de Bou, said.

“It had a chunk out of its dorsal fin and seemed a bit disoriented."

Mehmet said the sighting prompted him and others nearby to notify officials.

“We alerted the Autoridad portuaria [port authority] and carried on with our day.”
