HELENA, Mont. – A 40-year-old Helena man who pleaded guilty to intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl was sentenced to 136 months in prison and five years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Montana.
The United States government alleged that it intercepted a package in Feb. 2025 containing two pounds of methamphetamine.
It said that it searched the man’s house on Feb. 28 and seized “a large quantity” of methamphetamine and fentanyl, $39,704 in cash and several firearms.
The government alleged that during an interview with law enforcement, the man admitted he was receiving the illegal drugs from a co-conspirator and was distributing them in Helena. He said he sold the meth at a profit but sold the fentanyl at the price he bought it at in exchange for user amounts of the drug.
