...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT AUTAUGA AND EAST CENTRAL DALLAS COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM CDT... At 653 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Gardner Island, or near Selmont-West Selmont, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Prattville, Selma, Millbrook, Selmont-West Selmont, Deatsville, Autaugaville, Booth, Mulberry, Marbury, Vida Junction, Gardner Island, Tyler, Autauga County Airport, Memorial Stadium, Burnsville, Dallas County Horse Arena, New Prospect, Craig Field Aiport, Selma Drag Strip, and Edmund Pettus Bridge. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
