Tornado stock II

The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed that 16 tornados touched down in Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 28. 

Black Belt counties affected by the weather events were Lowndes, Montgomery and Macon counties. 

Two tornados touched down at Hargrove Lane and Knight Place Road in Lowndes County. Three were reported in Montgomery County while four were in Macon County. 

Counties affected outside of the Black Belt were Lamar, Shelby, Mobile, St. Clair and Marion. 

No significant injuries were reported, though the storms caused some property damage.
