The National Weather Service confirmed on Monday that an EF-1 tornado caused the storm damage in the Tyler area of Dallas County during Sunday's severe storm system.

Dallas County Emergency Management says the storm hit at 10:12 a.m. on County Road 405 and had winds of 95 mph and was 400 yards wide.

Damage of trees down and cars flipped were reported near East Salem Baptist Church where residents were in a church service when it hit.
