Old Cahawba Archeological Park was placed fifth on a list of "Most haunted places to visit" on thetravel.com

The park is noted for being the most famous ghost town in Alabama and was marked by a period of violence during the American Civil War as it functioned as a transportation and trading center.

Supposed ghost sightings have led to it being an attraction and the park regularly hosts ghost tours during the month of October.

Of particular note as a "haunted" spot is the St. Luke's Episcopal Church building and Cahaba’s Main Street.
