'Party to the Polls' event to encourage voter registration on Saturday

Truth Racial Healing and Transformation Selma will hold "Party to the Polls" with its place partner, Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth and Reconciliation, to encourage people to register to vote in the upcoming general election. 

This event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. as the Dallas County Courthouse will remain open at extra hours to allow people to register to vote. There will be food, cash drawing and music. 

The event will be marked by purple tents in the parking lot of the courthouse, which is located at 105 Lauderdale St. in Selma. Social distancing and masks are required.
