Two K9s of the Pickens County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) will receive new body armor from the nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
Marilyn and Zuna will receive bullet and stab protective vests embroidered with “In memory of Don Fike”.
An announcement from PCSO stated that Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is open to U.S. dogs that are at least 20 months old, actively employed, and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. It is also open to K9s with expired vests.
