A heat advisory is in effect for Central Alabama, including Perry County, through Friday at 7 p.m.Â
Max heat indices are expected to be as high as 105 degrees in some places. Precaution is advised for those working or spending time outside.Â
People are advised by the Alabama Department of Public Health to drink plenty of fluids and to stay inside shaded places as much as possible.Â
