Marion Academy senior places second in national Christian schools competition

Marion Academy Senior John David Goode placed second in the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) National Competition.

Goode was among an estimated 1,800 other students taking part and won for the Algebra II/Geometry testing category. There were 76 categories in five basic areas of academics, Bible, art, music, and speech. 

According to a post on Marion Academy's Facebook page, Goode won after an "intense" tie-breaking test. 

"We are so very proud of John David, his pursuit of excellence, and all of his many accomplishments," the academy stated in its post.
