The Perry County Annex II building has officially been renamed the Judge Richard M. Avery Jr. Annex.
At its May 10 meeting, the Perry County Commission voted for the name change that was introduced by District 2 Commissioner Anthony Long. In a previous meeting Long presented a resolution for the name change. The Annex building is in District 2 on South Washington Street and houses several county and state offices.
