A man who was wanted for homicide in Hale County was captured by authorities in Pickens County on Tuesday. 

A statement from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office said that they received word about the suspect living in Reform and responded with their deputies along with officers from the State Bureau of Investigation, Hale County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Service and the local police department. 

The Hale County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Kardarrell Winn, 23, of Sawyerville, who was wanted for a shooting that took place over the weekend.

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office said that he was taken into custody without incident.

"The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office is committed to maintaining strong partnerships with our local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies," said their statement. "This successful apprehension highlights the outstanding teamwork, professionalism, and dedication of all agencies involved. By working together, we continue to make our communities safer and ensure that those wanted for serious crimes are held accountable."
