A man from Pike Road has been sentenced to six years in a federal prison for being in possession of a machinegun. 

An announcement from U.S. Attorney Kevin Davidson stated that officers with the Montgomery Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call on Aug. 17. 

The caller was a woman whose child's father was reportedly forcing his way inside their home. When officers arrived they found Treneal De’Ron Beasley, 25, in possession of a conversion device that turns semi automatic firearms into fully automatic weapons. 

Beasley was arrested and he pleaded guilty to to possession of a machinegun on March 31. He will serve three years of supervised release after his term is up.
