Officials celebrated the opening of a Dollar General location in Plantersville with a ribbon cutting on March 16. 

The new store is located next to Dallas County High School on 5th Avenue.

In attendance were District Manager Elizabeth Curtis, event coordinator Barbara McGee, Commissioner Vivian Rogers, Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn, Valley Grande Mayor Wayne Labbe, store manager Anna Carter, and Regional Director Dave Sheppard. 

"It is [going to] provide jobs and revenue for the area and we hope our community will continue to grow," said McGee.
