Selma to Montgomery march

Plaques commemorating the voting rights movement of the 1960s, especially Bloody Sunday and the Selma to Montgomery march, will be unveiled on Thursday, March 6. 

Presenting the unveiling is Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church Selma AL Legacy Foundation in partnership with the John and Lilian Miles Lewis Foundation. 

The unveiling of the plaques will be held at 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Edmund Pettis Bridge - Songs of Selma Park at Broad Street and Water Avenue.

Following will be "Conversations with Voting Rights Foot Soldiers" at Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church on 1431 Broad Street from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
