A Prattville native shared his thoughts on joining the U.S. Navy through a blog by the Navy Office of Community Outreach.

Seaman David Bush serves at the Naval Submarine Base Groton located in Connecticut. He is a 2017 graduate of Prattville High School and joined the Navy when he said that he felt that he lacked purpose.

In the blog he notes that he had a teacher that encouraged students to be the first at something if they want to be remembered. He said that he is the first of his family to be in the Navy.

Since joining he said that he has found his purpose and that it is worth it for anyone considering.
