The nonprofit Rural Business and Training Center (RBTC), Inc. will host its weekly CO.STARTERS Core cohort for aspiring entrepreneurs in the Black Belt on April 8 to June 10 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in Demopolis.

"Throughout the course, participants are guided by a trained facilitator and an online network of successful entrepreneurs and startup veterans from across the globe, gaining valuable perspectives and learning from real-world experiences," said a press release from RBTC.

"CO.STARTERS uses proven lean business modeling methods (Canvas) that are simple, intuitive, and effective in helping small business owners start or build a solid foundation for growth."

The press release adds that business ideas can be entered into the Flynn AI assistant to generate plans or a CO.STARTERS Canvas.

RBTC shared several statistics on the impact of their program:

  • 95% of CO.STARTERS graduates are still actively running their businesses.
  • 70% of graduates are generating a profit.
  • 150% increase in annual sales.
  • 40% reduction in administrative time and costs using the business platform, which also connects participants to local financial institutions for further growth and support.

"Whether you're looking to start, grow, or scale your business, CO.STARTERS provides everything you need to succeed," the press release says. "This unique opportunity allows aspiring business owners in Alabama's Blackbelt region to access valuable resources, mentorship, and community support."

Registration for limited seats can be done at rbtcinc.org or by calling 334-216-4597.
