Perry County PREP Center

Reentry Alabama will meet tomorrow at the Alabama State House in Room 807 at 2 p.m. where the PREP Center in Uniontown will be part of the discussion. 

A press release from Reentry Alabama said that none of the graduates of the PREP Center have returned to prison since its inception in 2022 and will be featured in an upcoming book celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Second Chance Act.

Another graduation will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at 4805 Highway 80 in Uniontown.

The meeting will feature remarks from the following: 

Judge K.C. Hairston, Partner – Balch & Bingham, Mountain Brook Municipal Judge & VP, Alabama Municipal Judges Association (AMJA).

Danny Carr, District Attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama.

President Annette Funderburk, President, Ingram State Technical College.

Mandi Hall, Director, AOC Family Court & Court Services.

Jori Jordan, Program Specialist, Dept. of Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention (Children’s Trust Fund), Fatherhood Initiative.
