A relative of Montgomery City Council President Cornelius "CC" Calhoun was killed while three others were injured in a shooting on Saturday, March 16. 

The victim was Quinton Harris, 36, who was shot and killed at the 3700 block of Woodley Road around 11:45 p.m. 

According to WSFA, Calhoun implored for an end to violence and for people to come together to solve problems. 

As the shooting happened in Councilman Oronde Mitchell’s district he blamed it on the conditions of the apartments, saying that if they were better it could have been prevented. 

The investigation by the Montgomery Police Department is ongoing.
