Rick Carter to promote new book 'Fables and Stories' in Selma

Musician Rick Carter, who spent a portion of his life in Selma, will be in town on Feb. 17 and 18 to promote his new book, "Fables and Stories-Tales From An Alabama Troubadour." 

"Fables and Stories" recounts Carter's time as a musician through short stories, poetry and lyrics. He will be at the Selma Dallas County Public Library on Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. to speak and sell copies of the book. 

The library is located at 1103 Selma Avenue. 

On the following day Carter will be at Broad Street Books from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the release of the book. Broad Street Books is located on 22 Broad Street.
