Roads in Thomasville to close during Christmas Parade, Downtown Stroll events

A number of streets and roads in the downtown Thomasville area are set to close during the annual Christmas Parade and Downtown Stroll events on Dec. 6. 

The Christmas Parade will take place at 9 a.m. The Downtown Stroll will begin after the parade and continue until 2 p.m. 

"Please be aware of street closure times for both the parade and stroll," said a post on social media by the Thomasville Alabama Chamber of Commerce. "Some streets will reopen following the parade, but the main event space will remain marked off for the Stroll."

"Street closures are required for the safety of our vendors, parade entries, staff, and patrons. We ask that you will be understanding and respect the closures."

Downtown residents will be asked to remove all cars on W Front Street between the Civic Center and Post Office to allow attendees to view the events.
