The Rosa Parks Museum at Troy University will celebrate what would be the 112th birthday of the famed civil rights activist on Feb. 1.
“We hope all will join us for this special celebration as we honor the life and legacy Mrs. Parks,” said Donna Beisel, Director of Operations. “Mrs. Parks dedicated her life to activism, and as we celebrate what would have been her 112th birthday, we want to remember all of her contributions to fight for justice and civil rights.”
The museum will celebrate by offering free admission from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along with a variety of activities and presentations, including “The Life and Legacy of Rosa Parks,” by Ann Clements.
Sheila McCauley Keys, Mrs. Parks’ niece, will present "The Gathering" at 2 p.m. in the auditorium.
