Starting today Rural Health Medical Program (RHMP) is offering a free mobile contraception clinic.Â
The clinic provides free birth control pills and condoms, as well as pregnancy tests, emergency pills/Plan B, contraception counseling, prescription refills, and free STD testing.Â
It is open to males and females of ages 16 and over. A brief registration and ID card is required. No insurance is needed and walk-ins are welcome.Â
The clinic will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Selma Mall from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.Â

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for Central Alabama, which is in effect from
Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy
conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
