The U.S. Navy has highlighted a native of Selma for taking part in one of its maintenance courses in Great Lakes, Ill. 

Electrician’s Mate 2nd Class William Lolley was mentioned for testing solid state devices at the Surface Warfare Engineering Schools Command Great Lakes Electrician’s Mate (EM) "C" School during an Electrician’s Mates Surface Ships Advanced Maintenance Course, March 26.

"EM Sailors are tasked with operating, maintaining and repairing the electrical systems and equipment aboard Navy ships," said a press release from the U.S. Navy.
