Sanders Fortier fails to win Democrat nomination for governor
Melika Sanders Fortier of Selma, who gave up her state senate seat to run for governor, was defeated by Yolanda Rochelle Flowers of Jefferson County to be the Democrat candidate for governor in the June 21 runoff.
