The Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth & Reconciliation (SCNTR) will host "Be the Change: Restorative Circles for Selma" conflict resolution workshop on Sept. 3 and Sept. 9.

The workshop seeks to provide education on conflict resolution among people in families, jobs and communities. SCNTR cited a presentation by R.B. Hudson titled “Punitive to Restorative” that found that out of school suspensions have decreased by 40% because of "restorative justice" efforts.

Workshops will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

They are free to the public but require RSVP, which can be done by 334-526-4539.
