The Selma Area Food Bank was presented with a $15,000 check from Sen. Robert Stewart on Tuesday.Â
"This incredible gift will help us distribute thousands of meals to families across our service area," said a post by the food bank on social media.Â
In addition to Selma and Dallas County the food bank serves Marengo, Perry and Wilcox counties.Â
"It is an honor to support the Selma Area Food Bank," said Stewart on social media. "If children are hungry they can’t learn. Proud of the work you all are doing supporting families, children, and seniors!"
