The Selma Charity League (SCL) will raise funds for the the Selma-Dallas County Library's Summer Reading Program by hosting “Follies Fair” on April 24.

“We’re proud to continue to support the library & its children’s program with our ‘Follies Fair’ event this April,” said Rachel Metcalf Barry, Signature Project Chair for the Selma Charity League. “Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the summer program and help Ms. Becky and her amazing team of library staff continue to provide engaging and educational programs for our community’s children.”

The Summer Reading Program provides free reading enrichment activities, arts programming, and traveling exhibitions and attractions.

“Follies Fair” will be a carnival-themed event where a $50 ticket buys admission, complimentary beer and wine, food, carnival games, and prizes.

“Caricatures by Kathy” from Daphne will be drawing live caricature portraits.

There will also be a Drawdown Raffle for $50 tickets for cash prizes of $500-$1,000.

Event and Drawdown tickets can be purchased here, from any SCL member or by contacting charityleagueselma@gmail.com.

The event will be held at the ArtsRevive, Carneal Building on 3 Church Street.
