Selma City Schools (SHS) has been approved to participate in Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows one free breakfast and one free lunch each day for students.

According to an announcement from SHS the program allows students these free meals regardless of their previous status.

With the policy in place parents will not have to fill out a lunch application and students who want a meal can go in line and input their pin number to receive them. Meal counts are submitted to the stated education department as required by law.
