Selma Council to hold special called meeting tonight

The Selma City Council will hold a special called meeting tonight at 6 p.m. 

The meeting was scheduled to address what was called "urgent operational matters impacting the day-to-day functions of the city" according to an announcement. 

An agenda for the meeting lists a number of expenses to be considered, namely requests from the Public Works department for $18,311.89, the police department for $9,730.79, the Selma Animal Shelter for $3,140, public buildings for $10,907 and the fire department for $10,679.66. 

The meeting will be held at City Hall located at 222 Broad Street.
