Selma High School Health Science Department hosted a Blood Drive Wednesday in the gymnasium in partnership with LifeSouth Community Blood Center.

LifeSouth Community Blood Center is a community-based blood supplier in Florida, Alabama and Georgia committed to making sure blood is at local hospitals in times of need. 

Each donor that donated blood received a T-Shirt and $25 e-gift cards. 

 Selma High School Blood Drive was for any Selma High School Faculty & Staff and students who wanted to donate blood. They had a goal of 20 donors and successfully had 21 donors. They are looking to host more blood drives in the future at Selma High.  

Selma High School students that assisted at Selma High School Blood Drive are Darrian Walton, Erica Wright, Camyrn Chaney, Samantha Relph, LaKeisha Minter, Karla Hudson, Kayla Hudson, Jakira Tolbert, Makahia Tolbert, Kasharee Wilson, Aya Bates, Alexis Perry, Rodney Thomas, and Jordin Martin. Jamia Coleman is the Health Science Teacher at Selma High School.
