On Friday, Sept. 18 Selma High School will invite the public to its campus to complete their 2020 census forms from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

There will be food and door prizes for the first 50 participants. Those interested in taking part are asked to enter through the auditorium of the high school.

In recent months, officials from Selma and elsewhere in Dallas County have urged people to complete their census in order to be counted.

The number of people counted in the census can help determine federal funds given by the government for education, infrastructure and other public projects.

The deadline to complete the census is Sept. 30.
